Discovery Den Debuts at North Ridge
North Ridge students in Christine Dimarco’s second-grade class had the chance to be the first to sample the primary school’s new Discovery Den on Monday afternoon.
Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox, assistant superintendent Timothy Russo, executive director for technology Alise Pulliam, principal Katherine Rihm and other administrators joined the second graders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and to sample the wide range of technology-based learning in the room.
The students worked collaboratively at stations including one featuring coding, learned about green-screen technology and created their own digital art.
Discovery Dens are coming to all primary schools during the 2025-26 school year.
“This space is part of our vision of transforming traditional educational experiences through hands-on, authentic learning,” Dr. Cox said.
